Today was the last day of Vinidivio, Dijon. The last day of showing Hermanus Burgundies to Burgundy. We saw the trade – sommeliers, journalists, restauranteurs and buyers. All very impressed with the quality of South African wines and eager to visit South Africa soon. I had a truffle baguette with a sip of Chardonnay for lunch with the idea of working up an appetite for our dinner in Baune. The Chardonnay vines have only just started flowering in the Hemel-en-Aarde and I am looking forward to another good vintage while enjoying the fruits of Burgundy’s vines.
