Going into central Beaune for the 2nd time was a treat.  We were offered free entry into the Hospice de Beaune because the ticket lady recognised Jenny from the day before when Jenny met with Monsieur Director about their auction. The history and feel-good story of philantrophy was awe-inspiring. As with all business orientated tourism offerings the Hospice had a good selection of quality merchandise available to buy.  And did I buy!

Our visit is a bit short of the annual Hospice de Beaune auction which has been taking place since 1851 on the 3rd Sunday of November.
