For one Saturday only Hemel-en-Aarde producers Bouchard Finlayson, Creation, Sumaridge and neighbouring Genevieve MCC, Wintersdrift, Elgin Vintners and Almenkerk packed a couple of bottles of cold Chardonnay and crossed the mountain to Franschhoek.  Here they set up according to different wine growing areas on Môreson’s lawn to pour their liquid gold to thirsty attendees.

Just in case the local Chardonnays weren’t enough to please the palates there were a number of Burgundy’s well regarded whites on offer.  Weekend Wines was responsible for this stand and visitors were queuing for a taste.

It was a relaxed, informal afternoon with the weather playing along to ensure that Chardonnay convinced more fans to the charm of Chardonnay.
