my 5 favourite FynArts photos

Hermanus FynArts is big this year.  I am loving the buzz and all the people milling around clutching FynArts programmes.  It’s the fourth year, it offers great variety, fantastic quality and there is an energetic vibe to town.  Visitors are spreading FynArts news and images online and I chose my five favourite FynArts images posted on social media.

My all-time favourite.  An image by Jamie Single setting Jaco Sieberhagen’s installation off against a Walker Bay sun rise.

Photo 2 was taken by travel writer and map maker Di Brown. Vibrant oranges against the shades of blues. Covering the Hermanus shoreline this image is quiet yet alive, peaceful yet moody.

My third choice is the dramatic steel figure produced by George Holloway.Cloud formation dramatise the five meter high sculpture.  This image was taken by Robin.

For the love of wine there had to be an image of wine.  Joaquim Sá from Amorin Cork SA sponsored the WinePlus series and attended the tastings. He sipped wine and snapped great images of Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noir.  These were posted on Instagram.

Last but not least is a photo taken at Benguela Cove during the Gala Dinner.  This photo with hands plating food signifies the cooperation and hard work behind Hermanus FynArts.
