A festival is a great prompt to take a trip.  This weekend Gansbaai is getting loads of funk with the Funky Fynbos Festival.  Groeneweide just outside Gansbaai and beyond the Franskraal turnoff is hosting the fynbos flower display.  Here you can see a whale tail, penguins and a goose all made of fynbos.  All the elements of the Cape Whale Coast. Funky!

Flower Valley Farm, between Grootbos and Baardskeerdersbos, is where the music, stalls and the adventure races will take place on Saturday and Sunday.  Never heard the Shark Lady dj?  Today is your chance.  Get into the groove boys and girls Kim has a way to get everyone moving.  Saturday will see the mountain bikers take on a monster race or a short challenge and on Sunday the runners will hit the tracks. All at Flower Valley Farm.  Prizegiving will happen around 13:00 on both days.

At Lomond Wine Estate at the Kraalbos Dam you can try your hand at fishing for Rainbow trout, Black bass and Bluegill. Fish from the shore or from a boat and taste wine till 17:00 every day.
