Not been to a Robertson Wine Festival event? My first experience was a great one.  One that I wish to repeat.  Having won 2 tickets for the Wine of the River festival via #TravelChatSA I was mindful that my name might not be on the list but as with everything on the day all went smooth.  I was checked in with no problem.  Just a few steps from arrival to sipping the first glass of bubbly.   Robertson Wine on the River was well organised and provided a great experience for wine lovers. They covered all the bases – transport from central points, water, music, boat trips, tutored tastings, competitions, photo booths and lots, lots of wine.  Robertson Wine Valley made sure that all the ingredients to a fun-filled, super enjoyable festival were included.  Even the attendees came well dressed, from all regions and full of enthusiasm.  The team spirit was obvious and it was encouraging to see how the Robertson wine producers all contributed to the success of the event.  The Chardonnay tutored tasting presented by Johann de Wet of De Wetshof Estate was a highlight.
