On the first Saturday of December the community of Hawston hosts a Fish Festival.  This festival is an institution and attracts visitors from far and near.  It’s the place to enjoy a taste of what the sea offers and people queue from early morning for a chance to sample a crayfish curry or allikreukel frikkadel.  This is my type of food.  Food I crave.  I made sure I was there early to savour some rare seafood dishes.  R10 entrance was a cheap price to pay for the delicacies that I enjoyed later.  Here are some photos of my visit to seafood heaven.
