Stepping into the plush Coco Safar in Cavendish Square Claremont I quickly picked up on Buenos Aires memories. The detail and stylish charm had me reminiscing about the Argentinian institution Café Tortoni. These thoughts were soon replaced with new indulgences.  The detail and personal attention at this new coffee emportium was just… WOW!

Coffee is served on small cane trays embedded with a pattern that could be mistaken for the Louis Vuitton monogram.  The fact that these trays are sourced from my hometown Hermanus made me feel connected to the brand and I wanted to linger. The tray presented a medium sized cup of coffee, poppyseed madeleine and a tiny glass of carbonated water to cleanse the palate.  There was no resisting the tempting patisseries and I yielding to a salted caramel dome that did not dissapoint.  Coco Safar turned a quick coffee break into a luxury experience that made my step a little lighter.
