Our 5 German cities in 5 Days tour forms part of the Lufthansa Roadshow. A first stop was made in München, Germany’s third biggest city.   It took 40 minutes in the beige Mercedes taxis to get from the airport to our accommodation.  We arrived at Motel One, München Deutsches Museum, one of 5 in this chain in the city, in the afternoon.  After a quick refreshment we head out for the central city square Marienplatz.  This has been the city’s main square since 1158 and was abuzz of tourist activity.  After a walk about we settle on Paulaner Im Tal for a lunch of pork and sauerkraut – with beer off course.  Later we have a final beer at Wirtshausinderau which is situated close to the Deutsches Museum, the world’s largest science and technology museum.  A great first day!  Danke Schön München!
