With so many Overberg places to explore I pressed start on my borrowed BMW X1 and went West. General direction Cape Town. I hugged the coast and half way between Hermanus and Gordon’s Bay took another turn towards the village of Pringle Bay. Bordering the UNESCO proclaimed Kogelberg Biosphere this is a small village with a lot of heart. The business development is clustered in the centre. There I found great coffee and bumped into two friends by chance. Lemon + Lime – deli, gift shop, gathering place – has been around for many years and could easily serve as the local info centre. It comes complete with a colour matching resident cat. After a wholesome breakfast I went round the corner to Tickle Mouse where country-style biscuits and rusks are produced. Visitors can stock up from this factory at give away prices.
With a packet of Tickle Mouse Granny’s Ginger Nuts and a prezzie for self from Lemon + Lime I drove to the rocky beach for a view of the dramatic Hangklip Mountains. With that another Overberg road trip was complete. #IDoTourism
