Southernmost Point of Africa

At the southernmost point of Africa lies the coastal village of Agulhas.  Marked by an impressive lighthouse there is not much more this far down south.  What else do you need if you have an iconic red and white candy striped beacon that stands tall next to the rocky shore?

Founded by Portuguese seafarers many years ago Agulhas has developed but not fast and not by much.  After a steep climb to the top of the lighthouse you can take a trip on a boat from Struisbaai harbour, eat seafood while wriggling your toes in the sand or take a long walk parrallel to the coast.  Life is slow, the locals are lekker and the seafood is fresh.  What more do you need?
