  1. As I read the post I got the feeling that there is a lot to be said about overcrowding and agree that it is an issue. There is nothing worse than arriving at an advertised “Idyllic Island setting” just to find that it is so over crowded that it is impossible to spread your towel on the beach without touching the person next to you.
    However I think that the finger pointing at Air B&B by mainly the hotel industry is a clear indication of how threatened they are by the emerging tourism market that Air B&B opened up. Air B&B created a duel opportunity for both the traveler and the accommodation provider. Firstly, previously under utilised rooms are now earning an income for individuals who are part of the Air B&B family which in turn has a positive spin on both job creation and the economy at large. Secondly, Air B&B has made it possible for people who were previously excluded from travel due to the high cost of hotels, and who prefer the more personal interaction that Air B&B accommodation offers, an opportunity to travel and see the world.
