My new Ford Fiesta is more city slicker than off-road performance machine but this weekend I put her to the test on Overberg country roads. She did perform like a champ.

After filling up at the Ou Meul in Stanford with well brewed coffee and small pastry I took a shot left towards Napier. Much to my surprise my feisty Fiesta gripped the dirt and there was no drifting or shaking. We made good tracks and appreciated hidden gems such as Vaalvlei Wines and Panthera Africa’s big cats. All in a day’s play!
