Right this moment we are celebrating Earth Hour. Switching off our lights for one hour every March since 2007 shows concerns for our environment and raises awareness that we can make a difference.
WWF manages the Earh Hour initiative which included 187 countries in 2017. Recognising that switching off our lights is only a symbolic call for more action on climate change we also know that if everyone worked toghether there can be change. One hour is not enough to save the world but if citizens of 187 countries all made a collective effort the impact will be felt.
In Onrus the community teamed up by providing a market space with music and food stalls for the neighbourhood. There is strenght in numbers and the residents of Onrus helped to make a difference.
