Here I go again. Practicing for my 2nd Lighthouse2Lighthouse walk. In March 2020 I will be tackling the 90 odd number of kilometers from the Southern-most point of Africa to Gansbaai. From the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse to the one at Danger Point. I won’t be alone. I will be joined by more than 100 ladies from all over South Africa but mostly from Hermanus and surrounds.

Our first practice walk was on 15 September along a Fernkloof hiking trail towards Voëlklip on a contour path, on to Grotto and then the Hermanus Cliff Path to Hermanus Old Harbour before completing the route by finishing at the start – Gateway parking area. 22 kilometers of which just less than half was accompanied by happy rescue dogs from the Hermanus Animal Welfare Society. Energetic and excited to be out and about on a Sunday I walked with Shiloh who could not stop sniffing around. Fun, fit and doing good – this is what Lighthouse2Lighthouse is all about.
