It was cold. And raining. I was at Tokara Deli in Helshoogte Pass Stellenbosch. Our table of 6 was reviewing combined investments of our stokvel of more than 10 years, when someone looked up and said “look, there’s snow!”.

With barren winter vineyards in the foreground, Simonsberg blocked the the view. A mountain with the peaks dusted with a thin layer of snow. Unexpectedly beautiful.
