A weekend hike in the Kleinmond Mountains winded through fields of Mimetes Cucullatus. These colourful fynbos shrubs can be found all year on the mountain slopes of the Overberg Mountains and are fairly easy to grow I am told. Mimetes flower from early Spring to late Summer leaving vibrant orange stains on the south facing Kleinmond’s landscape.
